With 6 main islands and several small cays, the Caicos Islands offer a wealth of gorgeous beaches for your destination wedding ceremony. These shores boast renowned reputations for their length, soft white sand, and relative lack of development – even in the “touristy” areas, change has come slowly to the Caicos Islands, and they still contain the perfect quiet, unspoiled shores that tourists search so diligently for.

Each area offers its own unique traits and distinctive personality, making it easy to find a beach that suits every taste. From the pretty and easily accessible beaches to the completely undeveloped shores reachable only by ferry, the Caicos Islands contain something to please every couple.

Some of the most popular beach destinations lie in the island of Providenciales, more commonly referred to as “Provo”. Here visitors find easily accessible, flat white sand shores, such as the world-famous Grace Bay Beach. Provo also contains the bulk of Caicos’ tourism, so locating a hotel or luxury resort right on the beach provides no issue. The majority of the large resorts center around Grace Bay Beach itself, although other smaller villas, condos, and hotels lay spread throughout the island. For solitude without leaving Provo, head to Malcolm’s Road Beach with your jeep, and enjoy a quiet ceremony between just the two of you!

For couples that count seclusion as an all-important factor, head to Middle Caicos or North Caicos for untouched sweeps of white sand and gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean. On North Caicos beaches in particular, you can often walk for miles without encountering another person – these beaches compose some of the few truly untouched spots left in the islands. Some stay flat and sandy while others such as Mudjin Harbor offer headlands and clusters of rocks with sweeping beach views. Exchange vows in a secluded spot without a soul around to interrupt, an island memory you’ll surely treasure for years to come.

The remaining Caicos Islands contain even less development than Middle and North Caicos, but still display their own areas of rugged beauty (although some prove difficult to reach). Head to East, South, or West Caicos in a private boat and find your own secluded cove or beach for the perfect destination wedding ceremony. In the Caicos Islands, stunning beaches and windswept island views compose just another part of the everyday, but create a gorgeous backdrop for your once-in-a-lifetime event! Below, we’ve listed some of the most popular Caicos Islands beaches to help begin your search.

Providenciales (Provo)

Grace Bay Beach

On the northern coast of Providenciales lies a beach consistently rated as one of the world’s most beautiful – Grace Bay, 12 full miles of purely soft white sand and vibrant reef-protected blue water. One of the most sought-after locations in the Turks and Caicos, this popular beach contains the majority of the popular island hotels, and is a must-see site on the lists of many tourists.
Hold your destination wedding ceremony right on these quintessential island shores, made more convenient by the border of resorts, hotels, and villas that sit back from the sand. While visitors find no public restrooms, changing rooms, or food stands on the beach, the hotels offer facilities including bars and restaurants. Due to the many accommodations and Grace Bay’s reputation, you may encounter some traffic during your event – consider an early morning or an evening ceremony to avoid the worst of it. Keep in mind, however, that the Caicos Islands generally avoid reaching the same level of crowds and activity found in the other Atlantic and Caribbean Islands. And with 12 miles of beachfront area to choose from, you should encounter no problem finding the perfect quiet spot for exchanging your vows.

Leeward Beach

On the eastern end of Provo, not far from popular Grace Bay Beach, beautiful Leeward Beach awaits couples searching for their ideal Caicos wedding location. Easily accessible through a nearby community, this beach offers all of the Caribbean beauty couples come looking for – beautiful stretches of white sand, crystal-clear Caribbean waters, and even some limestone rocks scattered across the shore for dramatic effect. Leeward draws visitors due to its convenient location and beauty, but typically stays quieter than Grace Bay, perfect for a tranquil wedding ceremony. A few nearby villas and hotels dot the shore – consider checking into one for maximum convenience during your wedding day!

The Bight Beach

Actually a westward-lying continuation of Grace Bay, The Bight stays quieter than popular Grace Bay Beach, but still draws visitors with its lovely white-sand shores and tranquil waters. This beach makes an extremely convenient wedding location for visitors – nearby resorts and hotels dot the area for those who desire proximity, and a parking lot and bathrooms make life easier for temporary travelers. Enjoy the beautiful views of blue Caribbean waters stretching across the horizon as you exchange vows in this gorgeous Caicos location!

Long Bay Beach

For a bit more isolation, you may want to plan your wedding for the quiet, lovely location of Long Bay Beach, several miles of untouched soft white sand with hardly anyone else around to disturb your special day. Couples can find Long Bay Beach on the southeastern end of Provo, an area with moderate development – any extra supplies you may need rest only a short drive away. The water here stays exceptionally warm and calm, a perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony. Easily reachable by road and then a short walk, the peaceful environment makes the extra walking well worth it!

Sapodilla Bay Beach

(Chalk Sound National Park)

Smaller yet still beautiful, and a bit further off the beaten track, Sapodilla Bay Beach offers quiet, seclusion, and an all-around wonderful atmosphere for a Caicos destination wedding. Actually part of the Chalk Sound National Park, Sapodilla sits on a narrow peninsula that juts into the water on the southern-most part of the island. Protected, pristine, and with few crowds, couples can come here to exchange their vows in the unspoiled solitude of the Caribbean. Everything in Sapodilla is calm and unhurried, with gentle sloping white sands and shallow waters that seem to melt together at the shoreline. Although a bit smaller than some of the other Provo beaches, couples should have no trouble finding a little spot all of their own to exchange vows. Access Sapodilla Beach by car, but make sure you bring any supplies you might need for a wedding – the beach contains no facilities once you get there.

Malcolm Roads Beach

(Malcolm Beach)

Another beautiful isolated beach rests on the western side of the island, an ideal location for a quiet, intimate destination wedding. “Malcolm Roads Beach”, or Malcolm Beach, lies at the end of a long bumpy road that typically requires a jeep to access. Accordingly, this destination works best for small and intimate weddings, usually just the two of you, to avoid any hassle in transporting a huge wedding party. If you can bear the drive, however, a paradise awaits you at the other end – 2 miles of soft white sand shores and calm blue waters, perfect for a beachside ceremony and stunning wedding photographs. Keep in mind that whatever you need for your beachfront ceremony, you must provide!

Middle Caicos

Bambarra Beach

A gently curving beach on the northern side of Middle Caicos, Bambarra remains quiet and free of any development, creating the perfect destination wedding setting. Framed in shady casaurina trees, the untouched sand slopes gently downwards into the blue water. This beach contains no facilities, but compensates with a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere and limited interruptions.

Mudjin Harbor

This beautiful and isolated shore may require some driving to reach, but the dramatic scenery makes the trip well worth it for a destination wedding. Hills and grasses lead down to the white sand shore, which stays peaceful and secluded throughout the entire year. Surrounding headlands make for dramatic scenery, a change from the many flat beaches of Provo. A sandbar curves out into the turquoise water to a cluster of large rocks, ideal for exploration or as a backdrop for wedding photos. Exchange your vows right on the sand in front of this naturally stunning beach, or perhaps on one of the nearby hills for breathtaking views of the shore below. A few cottages and villas rest nearby, but Mudjin Harbor stays largely quiet and undeveloped. While you may see the few odd people, your chances of finding a peaceful moment to exchange vows remain excellent.

North Caicos

Whitby Beach

Reachable by ferry ride from Provo, Whitby Beach on the northern side of North Caicos is an undisturbed paradise awaiting your destination wedding ceremony. 7 miles of flat white sand stay almost completely empty – couples can walk for hours without encountering a single other soul. Whitby Beach makes the perfect private spot for a ceremony – just the two of you, the waves, and the warm tropical beauty of North Caicos. A few villas and a small hotel sit back from the sand, but no facilities or conveniences rest on the beach itself, so come fully prepared. Enjoy the start of your new life in this untouched natural gem, one of the few left like it in the Caribbean!

Pumpkin Bluff Beach

Head to this beautiful and secluded beach on the northern coast of North Caicos, a wide and long strip of white sand beach ideal for your wedding ceremony. Yet another undisturbed North Caicos beach, you’ll find plenty of quiet moments to yourself standing on the sugar-white sand or watching the turquoise waves gently roll into shore. Make sure to look for the distinctive remains of an old freighter shipwreck jutting out from the water! A few houses and villas dot the area, and more recently Pumpkin Bluff has drawn quite a bit of attention and interest for further development. For the time being, however, it remains tranquil and untouched. Take the ferry from Provo, make sure to bring everything you need, and enjoy your wedding day celebration on this stunning island haven from the modern world.

Horse Stable Beach

Located on the northern side of North Caicos, and to the east of Pumpkin Bluff and Whitby Beach, Horse Stable Beach appeals to couples with its stretches of untouched white sand. While visitors can soon expect to see development taking hold, things remain peaceful and empty at the present. Exchange vows right where the blue waves hit the warm sandy shore, and enjoy the beach to yourselves as far as the eye can see.

Sandy Point Beach

On the western side of North Caicos rests Sandy Point, a quiet half-moon shaped beach that juts out into the warm Caribbean water. Also reachable by ferry from Provo (or book a stay on one of the hotels right in North Caicos), this beach brings beauty and solitude to your Caicos destination wedding. Investors began developing this area a few years ago, but Sandy Point still remains fairly quiet and isolated. Enjoy the beautiful ocean backdrop, and exchange your vows in an intimate and peaceful setting!

Hold an utterly private and intimate Caicos destination wedding from your own villa, a popular choice for couples traveling to the islands. Caicos villas come in a variety of sizes and fit a range of budgets, sleeping groups from one couple to your entire wedding party. Book something ultra-luxurious – some come with their own tennis courts, saunas, and infinity-edged pools – or book something simple and quiet where you can sit back and enjoy the views during your honeymoon! Caicos villas oftentimes boast locations on some of the best spots on the island, including Grace Bay Beach, Long Bay Beach, Sapodilla Beach, and more. Hold your wedding ceremony right on the sugar sands, or on one of the many lovely locations in or around your villa. Enjoy the extra room to spread out, the privacy that comes with your own rental, and the beautiful scenery of the Caicos Islands, all from your very own front door!
